Nova Vida Midwives (formerly Home Sweet Home Birth) is the Midwifery service of Cynthia Luxford, CPM-LDM, who serves families on the Central Oregon Coast. Locally in Lincoln City, Otis and Newport and as far north as Cannon Beach and south to Waldport and east of the Coast Mountain range into McMinnville, Hillsboro and Forest Grove, Salem and even occasionally to Eugene, depending on client need. Home visits are made but she also has a clinic space in her home which was a freestanding birth center (more on that to come!). Cynthia is an OHP provider and accepts some other private insurance, according to the client’s benefits. She is a NARM preceptor and regularly works with apprentices. She has a steady assistant midwife at this time and does enjoy working as a duo with her.
